It would be awesome if February turns out to be as lucky as January. I take our wins as a good omen for 2009 – that, and “LOST” is back!

I really need to get back to my stitching . . .

Here is a gift I stitched for Christmas. Pretty cute! I stitched it for Patti, my friend and cross stitch buddy. She encouraged me to get back to my stitching and I finished MANY projects last year (all waiting for framing.) Once I get photos of them, I’ll post them here. Mom took her camera back (how dare she? –ha ha) for her trip. She’s celebrating her friend’s 50^th wedding anniversary. OOOOOH! – and she turns 70 on the 21^st of this month (and my BABY brother Kenny turns 40 in September!)

Since the month ended yesterday, so did many sweepstakes. I need to get moving to find more to add to my list – FUN! We could really use a car now (my poor 1994 Mustang). Hey, ANY win is fun to me! One thing I’d like to do is my own giveaway. Once I learn how to set one up, I’m going to do it! Stay tuned!

Kids Are Fun!

If you happen to know a child, ask them about "Star Wars". Who is the bad guy in black? DARK VADER! I bet you they say DARK instead of DARTH. Try it!
I thought it was just Gracie and her cuteness for messing up words, but I heard our neighbor Gregory call him Dark Vader also. Of course Gracie, being 8 and knowing it ALL (it happens sooner every generation I think) INSISTS that is his name! Actually, it makes sense . . .

Grace has been having 'School Spirit' Fridays at school. Here she is dressed like the 70's. She's saying, "Peace Man!" It's really funny to me since I was born in the 60's and spent my childhood in the 70's. Tomorrow she is supposed to wear her pajamas to school. That's a little weird. They can wear p.j.s but NO Halloween costumes on Halloween? I DO miss the 70's!

As I've said I've been easily distracted lately - not in a bad way. I've discovered a lot of really great blogs and such.

What A Week!

I'm looking at my calendar -by Sanrio = Hello Kitty (now half off at bn.com) and seeing that there is only 1 more week of this month! Where has the time gone? Well, I admit I've been spending WAY too much time setting up the new computer. Then, I find myself getting off track . . . and doing things like setting up this blog . . . then Gracie Girl has turned off the power strip twice now and messed up the browser, instead of shutting down. She was able to get away with that on our Mac and not destroy anything but PC's are a whole different beast! And I do mean BEAST! WAHHHHH!
